Welcome to my website. My name is Paula Henderson. I have always had a passion for the past, including vintage—clothes, accessories, jewelry, furniture, fabrics, porcelain, pottery, crystal, glass, silver, books, magazines, movies, automobiles, and houses. My love for vintage is so strong, I sometimes wonder if I lived in previous times. Is reincarnation possible? We cannot know, but I try to be open minded. Please join me and immerse yourself in those engaging days of yesteryear. Some of you remember the eras about which I write; others were born later. Either way, these Vintage Periods will never die; yesterday is forever.

Coupled with my passion for other times is my equally strong passion for other places. I was born in Dallas and grew up in North Central Texas. When I graduated from college, I was qualified to teach all levels K-12 and was offered a position by the school in which I did my practice teaching. Interacting with students was quite enjoyable, but I decided to pursue a career in business and moved to San Francisco.  My work history is in business to business sales and management, but my love for "the life of the mind" and teaching is ever strong.

The most enjoyable decade of my life was when my husband and I moved seasonally. Telephone, fax, computer, and air travel made it possible for us to live and work anywhere in the United States. My gracious husband let me choose the locations, which I handpicked for history, beauty, geography, and climate. We leased furnished houses by the season, spending summers in the North and winters in the South; the weather was always near-perfect. We lived all over the United States in dream locales. The differing cultures were fascinating; each was its own microcosm. Living in different regions of the country and world is like being transported to another time; everything is new and interesting.
